Landscape Fine Art Photography

Like many lens lovers, I've carried a camera around with me for as long as I can remember and just love to produce great fine art prints. Originally qualified in applied physics and spending 20 plus years in telecommunications, traveling around the world, I quickly learnt that photography could provide an interesting distraction from the tedium of business trips, airports and hotels. I enjoyed the business life, it's just that can find yourself sitting in business centers and behind laptops far more often than is really healthy.

I found it was possible to enjoy photography and at the same time have successful business trips. Before 9 am and after 5 pm you could quite often find me shooting cityscapes and lifestyle images in many wonderful cities.

My limited edition fine art prints soon became popular with friends, colleagues, and even customers. It has been bought and given as gifts for family members, business executives, retirees, and is sold to interior designers, finding its way into company offices, such as Boeing in Singapore, to name just one. Three of my originalfine art limited edition prints even hang in Changi Airport, which is kind of perverse considering how much time I used to spend in airports.

During my 5 years in Singapore , I set up Robin Imagery, so I could pursue a life in commercial photography. On the commercial side, I photograph products, architecture, hotels, spas, food and some high level event work. In 2004, I was appointed as the accompanying photographer for Prince Andrew and Prince Edward, during their visit to Singapore. I also got to be the official photographer for Martin Johnson, during his world tour. Add to that photographing Lee Kwan Yew, Goh Chok Tong and President Nathan, 2004 wasn't such a bad year. So I guess the job has its upsides!

You can see this work and my other commercial portfolios at my other site www.robin-imagery.com.

My time in Asia afforded me the opportunity to visit some really interesting countries and absorb the culture. I hope my experiences there have been translated through the lens in to print in a manner that enables you to experience the simple humility of the people and places I visited.

So, please enjoy my labor of love and I hope it gives you as much pleasure as it has given me. Feel free to drop by my catalog of fine art prints.
