The word policy is likely to send a shiver down my neck, given how many years in the corporate world i was subjected to them. Never the less, they have a place and here I just want to spell out a few points on how I operate:
1. Framing: I don't do framing. When I see the price of frames these days, I wonder if I should just hang up my camera and get into the framing business instead! All of my prints are sold as "PRINT ONLY". In any case, most people who buy my Limited Edition Fine Art Prints, have a particular style in mind and can therefore choose their own fram to suit their tastes and decor.
2. I print to order: Unlike many Limited Edition Print producers, I don't do batch printing. Even my standard quality non limited edition prints are hand printed. Each print will be unique.
3. What do I mean by 'Hand Printing" ?: It means that I feed the paper into the printer by hand - doh!. Actually, it means a lot more. It means that each print is produced independently, even if its from the same limited edition collection. Does this mean they vary? Not much, only in so much as paper and ink batches vary. I kinda think its a nice touch, as each one is quality controlled as it is produced just for you.
4. Standard Quality Prints: These are prints that are not limited edition. This means that there is no limit to the print run and I can sell as many as I like (I wish). Standar Quality prints are produced on superior archive quality papers that will last a life time if properly cared for. These are not 'Poster Prints', the paper they are printed on is far superior to poster paper. Also, the prints are of photographic quality, unlike many poster prints that if you look carefully, you will see the little dots that make up the print. My standard quality prints are smaller in size to the limited edition prints.
5. Limited Edition Fine Art Prints: Prints of this quality are much bigger than the standard prints. They are printed on the best quality materials I can find and using the highest quality printing my glicee printer will kick out - when one of these prints is printing, it's like watching paint dry. Individually printed and inspected (often reprinted), they are simply the best I can produce. Each one is hand signed by me and is from a numbered series of a limited print run. Editions vary, some just 10, others 50. When they sold out they are history - if I had a mold, i'd break it. Prices will increase as the edition sells out.
6. Delivery and Shipping: It usually takes me a week to print and ship an order, sometimes quicker, unless I'm out shooting. Prints are carefully wrapped and packaged in a shipping tube. Be very careful removing the print from the tube. See my quality and handling section.
7. Returns: We offer a money back guarantee is you are not completely satisfied with your print. Simply drop us an email and let us know the problem and we will either refund your money or send you another print, if the one you recieved was damaged in transit. For refunds, simply return the print in its original packaging in saleable condition and upon receipt we will complete the refund.
